QD Picatinny mount
Choose QD when faster removal and reinstallation are important. Confirm secure engagement on a compatible Picatinny rail before use.
Screw Picatinny mount
Choose the screw-style mount for a hardware-secured installation that is intended to remain in place for longer periods.
IR note: Infrared illumination is not intended to appear as a normal visible beam. A compatible night-vision device is required to observe and use the IR output as intended.
One selector, three light sources
Set the head dial to the light source your task requires.
The selector ring separates white, UV and IR functions so the active source is clear before activation.
White light for distance and identification
Use the 50-lumen Low mode for controlled illumination or the maximum 1,800-lumen High mode when more reach is needed. Peak intensity reaches 10,800 candela, with a maximum beam distance of 200 meters.
365 nm UV for fluorescent inspection
Use the front UV source to examine compatible fluorescent materials and markings. Visible response varies with the material, viewing distance and ambient light.
IR illumination for compatible night vision
Select IR when working with compatible night-vision equipment. The IR source is an illuminator; it is not a visible white-light substitute.
Control and field readiness
Use the tailcap directly or connect the selected remote switch.
The GL8 Pro supports direct tailcap activation and remote operation. Control behavior depends on the selected light source and remote-switch configuration; follow the supplied manual before installation and use.
Rechargeable primary power
The package includes one rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The GL8 Pro also supports two CR123A batteries. Use only permitted battery configurations and never mix battery types, charge states or conditions.
High-mode runtime is approximately 1.2 hours with the included rechargeable battery; actual output and runtime vary with battery condition, temperature and thermal regulation.
IP68 environmental protection
GL8 Pro has an IP68 water-resistance rating for immersion to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes when correctly assembled. Do not use it as a diving light; inspect and fully secure all closures before wet use.
A low-battery warning flashes five times every five seconds when the alert is active.

What is the difference between GS2 and GS4?
GS2 is a lower-profile, single-cable control intended for a focused GL8 Pro setup. GS4 uses a dual-control format designed for broader compatible RovyVon equipment layouts. Select only the switch type needed for your configuration.
Should I choose the QD or screw-style mount?
Choose QD when faster removal and reinstallation are priorities. Choose the screw-style mount for a hardware-secured installation intended to remain mounted for longer periods. Both options are for compatible Picatinny rails.
Does the GL8 Pro mount directly to M-LOK?
No. The included QD and screw-style mounts attach directly to compatible Picatinny rails only. They do not attach directly to M-LOK.
Can I see the IR light without night vision?
IR illumination is not intended to appear as a normal visible beam. Use compatible night-vision equipment to observe and use the IR output as intended.
How does the 1,800-lumen output behave during use?
1,800 lumens is the maximum white-light output. Output and runtime vary with battery condition, ambient temperature and thermal regulation.
