USPS and DHL Shipping Cost Increase Announcement

We were told by DHL and our US warehouse partner that the shipping cost will increase from January 2019,

USPS:

  • First-Class Package Service will change to zone-based pricing. That means the cost to ship will be determined by both the weight of your package and its destination. Previously, the cost was determined by the package weight alone.

DHL:

In 2019, DHL Express retail prices will increase by an average of 5.1% for DHL Express Worldwide shipping service.

We wanted to keep the original shipping rate, but the increasing part ate about 12% of our store margins from our test during January and February. We are sorry to tell that we have to adjust the shipping cost a little based on their adjustment to find a balance.

The adjustment will be as below:

1. USPS (for the United States & Canada only)
  • The USA orders less than $69.95 will be charged $6.95 on shipping. Orders over $69.95 get Free shipping.
  • Canada orders less than $89.95 will be charged $7.95 on shipping. Orders over $89.95 get Free shipping.
  • Order amount is the net amount (exclude shipping) after discount.

2. DHL

  • DHL shipping cost will be increased to $18.
  • Orders over $269 will get Free DHL Shipping.
  • Order amount is the net amount (exclude shipping) after discount.

The Adjustment will be effective on March 1, 2019.
